A diverse and wide-ranging album, including landscapes, city scenes, agricultural activity, geishas, occupational studies, domestic tableaux, sumo wrestlers, and portraits, apparently by a variety of photographers and studios. The album also includes four large-format photographs. Albumen prints, most measuring approximately 3½x5 inches (8.9x12.7 cm.), and the reverse, and four approximately 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), mounted four per side recto/verso on white card mounts with an applied green border; a few with notations or a location in the negative. Small folio, black leatherette covers; contents loose. Circa 1900
